Overview
The Case Mate vineyards spill down from the winery across steep slopes on some of the very best soils in this subzone of the great Barolo vineyards. The vineyards are so well tended here at Grasso that they look like hedgerows one would find at Versaille. This is fine Barolo that will reward the saavy collector who chooses to cellar this wine for a time.

Wine Spectator June 2008 - James Suckling - 91 points
Barolo Ginestra Casa Mate 2004. Pretty aromas of plum, cedar and fresh flowers follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and a long, fresh finish. Delicate, yet structured and racy.
