Overview
A Chianti Classico very much in the traditional style made from 90% Sangiovese with 5% each of Canaiolo and Colorino. Aged for about 6 months in large oak casks (which have their very own room in the impressive cellars) the aim is to present a full-bodied wine with plenty of fruit and this wine succeeds on all accounts. John Matta has been named Italian Wine Maker of the Year in 2005 and the success of wines such as this shows the justicifaction for his numerous awards. It is named after an antique farmhouse located on the wine estate.
