Overview
Rosso di Montalcino is made in the same zone as Brunello and is made from the same grape varietal- Sangiovese di Brunello. The wine is made with much less ageing than Brunello and by law must be aged a minimum of 1 year, versus 3 years for Brunello. Therefore the style of the Rosso is a medium bodied easy drinking wine with some enjoyable similarities to Brunello. The Rosso exhibits the wonderful flavour characteristics of the grape varietal and has long been a favorite of Italian wine fans
