Overview
A wine obtained from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Rivarossa is the name of a cadastral parcel of soil. The features of the clay-loam in Rivarossa make it ideal for growing red grapes. Mario Schiopetto devoted his life to making the best wine Friuli has to offer. This is carried on by his children today. Schiopetto has become a point of reference for the entire Collio zone.

Reviews
Wine Advocate - Antonio Galloni - 90 points
The 2007 Rivarossa (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc) is a graceful red. Medium in body, the wine reveals delicate layers of perfumed red fruits, graphite and grilled herbs in a soft, sensual style. This is a beautifully balanced, soft red from Schiopetto. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015.
