Overview
Also known as Borgogna Grigio, it is similar to the other Pinots and originates from France. Like Pinot Bianco, it derives from the bud mutation of Pinot Nero. At Azienda Agricola Mario Schiopetto s.s. these grapes are grown on the hillside in fairly marly soil. The yield is limited. Pinot Grigio grows in small plump bunches and the grapes are round and reddish-grey in colour with a hint of copper.

Reviews
Wine Advocate - Antonio Galloni - 90 points
The 2008 Pinot Grigio is elegant and refined with pretty layers of fruit that emerge from a mid-weight frame. A cool, minerally finish gives the wine a nice sense of proportion. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011.
