Overview
Rosso di Montalcino is a wine which—as a one-hundred percent Sangiovese—has some similarities in nature and character to Brunello di Montalcino, albeit a lighter version. It possesses a soft richness that balances its fresh bouquet. It spends its first year maturing in oak, lending it some complexity for further aging. Once bottled it will comfortably mature over the next three to five years, growing still finer and more elegant with time in the bottle.
