Overview
This old vine Primitivo speaks Italian with a southern accent. The vineyard features 70 year old vines planted on prime land next to the sea in the grape growing zone called Manduria in Puglia. The vines are trained in the classic Alberello technique as the ancient Greeks had done in this same area. It is well known as the best zone for the production of Primitivo as the proximity to the sea tends to cool the grapes during their hot growing season. The soil is fertile and the grapes thrive there. <p>This is a very solid wine. Certainly one of Puglia’s finest Primitivos.
