Overview

Alessio, Francesca and Santi Planeta discovered an inspiring farm in Vittoria in southeastern Sicily in search of one of the most unmistakable wines, Cerasuolo di Vittoria D.O.C.G, currently the only D.O.C.G in Sicily. Here, they established the Planeta farmhouse at Dorilli, near land which belonged to the Planeta’s paternal grandmother.

60% Nero d’Avola, 40% Frappato
Vinification
8 days of maceration. After racking, malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks.
Aging
In s s tanks, then bottled for further ageing before release.

Intense ruby red with pink hues on the rim.
| Aroma
Very distinctive, this is the wine that best highlights the terrior. Red berries, ginger and fruit drops.
| Taste
Supple, vibrant and wonderfully fresh, with a long mouth-filling and fruity finish.
| Serving Suggestions
As an aperitivo, lightly chilled in summer. Serve with broiled shellfish, couscous with lamb tagine.
