Overview
The production area for Pino Nero Schweizer includes the Mazzon (municipality of Egna), Pinzano and Gleno (municipality of Montagna) slopes. The vineyards enjoy south and south-west exposure and an elevation that ranges from 350 to 700 meters. The Mazzon soil has a high clay and limestone content, while the soil in the other areas is more clay with a high content of porphyric sand. Yields are below 35 hectoliters of wine per hectare. This is a wine that will keep wonderfully for many years.
