Overview
The main focus of Montevertine is obviously the respect for the native grapes of the region, resisting easy trends, which involves the adoption of foreign varietals. Therefore today’s vineyards (circa 23 acres) are exclusively planted with Sangiovese / Sangioveto, Canaiolo, Colorino and Malvasia Nera. Always a free spirit, all of Montevertine wines are made with out designation. They simply carry the winery name and a proprietal wine name.
