Overview

Although they are a relative newcomer to the world of Italian wine, having started in 1985, Planeta's wines are recognized around the world for their quality and innovation. They have brought Sicilian wines into the spotlight through their efforts with a range of varietals both indigenous to the island as well as international varieties.

Vinification
Grapes are vinified separately in stainless steel tanks as ripening occurs at different times. Maceration on skins for 2 weeks
Aging
The wine is racked into stainless steel vessels then bottled and held until release.

Ruby red with hints of purple.

Ample fresh berry fruit on the nose, balanced by a zesty spiciness.

Ripe red berry fruit flavours with soft tannins coming from the French varietals.

Hors d'oeuvres, grilled and roasted pork, beef and pairs well with roast of chicken, pastas with meat sauce.
