Overview
Wine historians have long debated whether Ge-würz-traminer, the aromatic white grape, originated in Tramin (aka Termeno), a town in Italy's Alto Adige region near the Austrian border. But what cannot be disputed is that some of the finest Gewürztraminer wines produced today come from Tramin's 110-year-old co-operative winery, Cantina Tramin.

Reviews
Wine Spectator - May 2009 - James Suckling - 93 points
Gewürztraminer Alto Adige Nussbaumer 2007 - This has an intense nose, offering smoky bacon rind, lavender, aromatic honey and dried citrus fruits. Full and oily on the palate, almost off-dry, with a dense mélange of flavors that even out into dried pineapple, lemon and golden syrup on the long finish. An exciting white. Full-blown Gewürztraminer. Drink now. 4,100 cases made. –JS
