The wine goes under the name of the new Gaja winery “Ca’Marcanda”, which takes its origin from the word in piedmontese dialect, reminding to the long negotiation Mr. Angelo Gaja had with the previous owners of the estate, in order to convince them to sell it. In the past, this estate was destined to olives trees, fruit trees, animal farm and, in a small part, vineyards.
