Overview
Mario Schiopetto has devoted his life to making the best wine Friuli has to offer. He has become a point of reference for the entire Collio zone as he essentially found new ways to vinify indigenous as well as international grape varietals. His products enjoy a cult wine status world wide. This particular variety of vine is traditionally grown in the Gorizia area. The wine has its own strong character and personality. At Azienda Agricola Mario Schiopetto s.s. it is grown on the open hillside, in predominantly marly soil from the Eocene.

Reviews
Wine Advocate - Antonio Galloni - 90 points
The 2008 Friulano offers outstanding balance in a ripe, full bodied style with hints of almost-tropical fruit, mint and flowers. This is a decidedly fat, opulent Friulano. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2013.
