His wines possess intense complexity and aromatics resulting in ultra refined elegance. The Nebbiolo grapes for this beautiful example of Barbaresco come from select vineyards in the communes of Neive and Treiso, both a few kilometers away from Alba close to Barbaresco.

The 2006 Barbaresco Coparossa shows terrific depth in its plump core of perfumed bright-toned red fruit. Sweet suggestions of tobacco, licorice and menthol linger on the long, classy finish. This is another fairly accessible Barbaresco from Bruno Rocca. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2018.
