Overview
The dynamic, young Enzo Boglietti is one of the new breed of Barolo producers who are electrifying the wine scene of Piedmont. Based in the town of La Morra - and with holdings in some of Barolo's greatest vineyards - Enzo took over his family's domaine in the early 1990's. Case Nere falls somewhere between Fossati and Brunate in style (powerful, yet elegant).

Reviews
The Wine Advocate - Robert Parker -94 points
Boglietti’s 2004 Barolo Vigna delle Brunate is terrific. It, too, is a big, weighty Barolo, yet the fruit is more layered than the Casa Nere and the tannins have an additional degree of finesse. Perfumed black cherries, menthol, spices and sweet toasted oak emerge from this concentrated, richly-textured wine. With time in the glass the wine gains clarity and focus, becoming even more compelling. This is a great effort from Enzo Boglietti. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2024
