Overview
The dynamic, young Enzo Boglietti is one of the new breed of Barolo producers who are electrifying the wine scene of Piedmont. Based in the town of La Morra - and with holdings in some of Barolo's greatest vineyards - Enzo took over his family's domaine in the early 1990's. Case Nere falls somewhere between Fossati and Brunate in style (powerful, yet elegant).

Reviews
The Wine Advocate - Robert Parker -92 points
2004 Barolo Casa Nere is a dark, brooding wine endowed with notes of smoke, earthiness and tobacco that emerge from its intense frame. This contemplative wine opens nicely in the glass, showing notable delineation in its aromas and flavors, with plenty of stuffing to support the tannins. It remains a very finessed yet backward Casa Nere in need of a few years of bottle age. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2022
