Overview
This is the first vintage of the Barbera d’Asti from Bruno Rocca and is very different in style and quality from many other Barbera d’Asti. He was inspired to look at this area by the fact that whereas the best sites in Alba are planted with Nebbiolo, the best vineyards in the Asti area grow Barbera and therefore have the quality potential Bruno is looking for.

Reviews
Wine Spectator - September 2008 - James Suckling - 90 points
Balanced aromas and flavors of berries and bitter orange peel, with hints of chocolate and mineral. Medium-bodied, with loads of flavor and good clean length. Such balance. Drink now. 800 cases made.
