Overview
From the Sa Tanca vineyard, a blend of Bovale Sardo, Carignano, Cannonau and Merlot. Over the years of working in the vineyards ancient golden Roman coins were found. An image of the coin can be found on the label. Bovale Sardo is a varietal that most growers and estates were pulling out in order to plant other more commercially viable grapes. Antonio Argiolas disagreed with this trend as he always found qualities in the varietal that he enjoyed in the glass. He planted out the Sa Tanca vineyard with Bovale and launched the wine Korem with much acclaim. His philosophy was to pay homage to this indigenous varietal in a blend that would showcase its characteristics. If you like to walk off the beaten path and try new wines, this wine provides pure pleasure. If you like to cellar wines, consider laying down several bottles of Korem. You will be well rewarded.
