Overview
Most drinkers think red when the subject of Italian wine is mentioned, but the island of Sardinia and particularily Argiolas produces some great whites too. This vermentino from the Argiolas estate is a pleasure to drink. After one catchy sip, it's no wonder. Made from Vermentino grapes, this wine has greenish gold luster and is a natural with or without food accompaniment. It has a crisp aroma of green apple melded with wonderful floral notes balanced by a refreshing lemon-zest bitterness and a dry but rich mouth feel that gives it a good, long finish.

"Argiolas accomplishes fabulous things with Vermentino. …beautiful aromas of almonds, oranges, lemon, honey, apple skins, and a hint of tropical fruits.”
